  • Being a very highly acidic mineral or compound perchloric acid will have minimum basicity when seen on basic scale and highly acidic when seen on acidic scale.
  • Nitric acid and Sulphuric acid also tend to rank down when the acidic nature of perchloric acid is seen.
  • This colourless compound is a very important ingredient used in the rocket fuel and is very famous for the preparation of percolate salts when it reacts with elements that are basic in nature which can utilise this acid to form the above named salt.
