BaSo4 + 4C -------> BaS + 4CO
in above reaction , write for each reactant that undergoes oxidation or reduction and identify the type of reaction.

⏪ BaSO4 + 4C-----> BaS + 4 CO

In this reaction, BaSO4 ( Barium Sulphate) removes its oxygen to form BaS. So, we can say that BaSO4 is being reduced ( removal of oxygen) to BaS.

⏪ Similarly, C ( Carbon ) is getting oxidised ( addition of oxygen) to form CO.

⏪ Hence, oxidation and reduction both are taking place simultaneously in this chemical reaction, which is known as Redox Reaction.( 'Red' for reduction and 'Ox' for oxidation )

⏪ Therefore, Type of reaction is REDOX REACTION.
