let the cost of chair be x
hence the cost of a table is x+200
3x+(x+200) ×2=1400
3x+2x+400=1400
5x=1000
x=200
cost of chair is Rs200
and cost of table is Rs400
hence the cost of a table is x+200
3x+(x+200) ×2=1400
3x+2x+400=1400
5x=1000
x=200
cost of chair is Rs200
and cost of table is Rs400

let the table cost is x and chair cost is y.
now according to question....
x-y=200. ( I)
and
2x+3y=1400. (II)
we get,
2x+3y=1400. (II)
(x-y=200)*3=3x-3y =600. (I)
now on adding equations I and II we get
2x+3y+3x-3y=1400+600
5x=2000
x=400
now put these value in equation first, we get
400-y=200
-y=200-400
y=200.
hence the cost of each table is 400 and each chair is 200.
