A battery is actually a power supply with more than one cell. This is why, the DC power supply used in tractors, trucks, inverters etc are called battery (one such battery contain about 4-6 cells).

A cell is the smallest unit of the battery. A battery is actually a group of cells which produces a large amount of energy. More than one cells are used in tractors, trucks and inventors hence, they are called Batteries.
