BC and BCE are the same.
BC/BCE is first on timeline, and AD/CE is second on timeline.

Some historians use BC and AD (Before Christ and After Death)
But now, instead of BC and AD, Most of the historians use BCE and CE (Before Common Era and Common Era)
It's just new words, the meaning is totally same.
Edit: AD stands for anno domini and not After death.
