∠BCD is an exterior angle of ∆ABC. If ∠BCD= 3 ∠A = x and ∠B = 80° , find the value of x.​

x + 80 = 3x (exterior angle property)

3x - x = 80

2x = 80

x = 80/2

x = 40

Now,  \: BD \:  is  \: a \:  straight ray

so,  \: m∠ACB+m∠ACD \\ =180o→(1)

In  \: △ABC, \: m∠A+ \: m∠B+ \\ m \: ∠ACB =180o→(2)

m \: ∠A+m \: ∠B=m \: ∠ACD

so, m \: ∠ACD=40o+70o

m \: ∠ACD=110o
