The B.C.G. vaccine provides immunity against Tuberculosis., Bacillus Calmette-guerin, one dose is provided from birth to 12 months which gives 10% immunity to the body.

Tuberculosis is a bacterial rod-shaped gram +positive or +ve bacteria, known by the scientific name Mycobacterium tuberculosis; originally given by Koch et al in the year 1882, this disease where the pathogen completely destroys the infected tissue and release certain toxins called \textbf{tuberculin} (this test was called as Mantoux reaction which is tuberculin specific).

BCG ( Bacillus Calmette–Guerin ) is a vaccine which provides immunity against Tuberculosis commonly known as TB.

However sometimes it also be used against Buruli ulcer infection and other nontuberculous mycobacteria infections.
