Answer ⤵️
In Quad. ABCD.
Given,
BD = 12cm
AE = 8cm
CF = 5cm
Area of quadrilateral= Area of ∆ ADB+Area of ∆BCD
In ∆ ADB
AE is the height of ∆ADB.
DB is the base of ∆ ADB.
Area of ∆ADB= 1/2×DB×AE
= 1/2×12×8
= 6×8
= 48 cm².
In ∆BCD
CF is the height of ∆ BCD
BD is the base of ∆ BCD
Area of ∆BCD= 1/2×BD×CF
= 1/2×12×5
= 6×5
= 30 cm².
.
. . Area of quadrilateral= Area of ∆ ADB+Area of ∆BCD.
=> 48+30cm²
=> 78 cm²
Hence, Area of quadrilateral is 78cm².
