Before we go to see the five moments of truth I have experienced in a hotel and a lodge , I would like to describe the five moments of truth . First of all the five moments of truth are said to be that turning point of a company or an organisation where they will be able to earn the complete trust and a lifetime of loyalty from their customers .These moments of truth are a key aspect of customer satisfaction and journey . Moving further on let us look at the moments of truth I have experienced in a hotel . The moments of truth I have experienced in a hotel are :

1) When I was searching for a good place to eat and spend my weekends at , I found a website of the hotel sangeetha . The reviews people had given for this hotel was great and looking at the comments I was sure many people loved this hotel , hence I decided to go for this hotel . Here I am experiencing the Zero Moment of Truth ( ZMOT ) . This is because though I didnt have any contact with the hotel , the positive reviews made me decide to go for this hotel .

2) The same hotel had an ice cream booth where free samples were given to everyone . I tried one of it and loved the taste of the black current icecream . So , I decided to have an icecream . Which means I have experienced the Second Moment of truth ( SMOT ) here . This because I ( a customer ) decided to go for a product after getting a hands on experience with the product .

3) It was holiday season and I was once again searching for a good place to spend my time at and found a travel agency sponsored by hotel sangeeta who had a very detailed web page about the services they had to offer . There was even a section where people could ask questions . I asked quite a lot of questions and I got a lot of detailec answers from it . I once again searched if I could find a better travelling agency but didnt find anything interesting in what they had to offer . So , I decided to buy my tickets to Hawaii from this travel agency . Here I am experiencing the Less than zero moment of truth ( < ZMOT ) .

4) I heard a sales pitch about a new diner coming into the town . As I listened to it it somehow got registered to my mind and the next day when I was asked to choose the place where we were going to dine I said let's go to the new diner in town whose name is ' Miss marple ' . Here I have experienced the First moment of truth ( FMOT ) .

5) That day when I was leaving hotel Sangeetha , I was asked to write my feedback in the feedback book and I decided to give as the hotel really did have delicious food . As I gave good reviews my feelings towards this hotel changed and I decided to frequent this hotel . Here I am experiencing the ultimate moment of truth ( UMOT ) .

The five moments of truth I experienced in a lodge was :

1) As I was searching for a good lodge to spend my time at I got a small pop up in my inbox saying that ' The skyline ski lodge has a lot to offer ' . I was intrigued and decided to go for this lodge . Hence , I am experiencing the Zero Moment of truth ( ZMOT ) as I decided to choose a company's service after seeing an add on it .

2) The lodge had a big donut shop in it . I was first skeptical of buying a donut as I generally dont like donuts . A lady who was working in the shop asked me to try a free sample , so I did . I was surprised at how good it was and decided to but 3 packs of donuts . Here I am experiencing the Second moment of truth ( SMOT ) as I decided to go for a product after having an experience with it .

3) The same lodge had a board on its walls saying ' 50% off for Christmas ' , which came three months after that time I was seeing the add . I soon forgot about it but when it was Christmas time I suddenly thought about that add and decided to have another trip to it . Here I am experiencing the less than first moment of truth moment of truth because I who is not a regular customer decided to choose a company's service after seeing an add on it .

4) It was winter and our family decided to go for a sking lodge trip . There was this website of Lonnie's Ski Lodge ' where the customers could directly interact with the hotel . My mom had a talk with that restaurant and after searching for more lodges she decided to choose this lodge for our trip . Here she is experiencing the Less than zero moment of truth ( < ZMOT ) because she decided to go for a company's service after having a conversation with the lodge when she was researching for it .

5) We had a great time and when we were leaving we were asked to give our feedback . The service was fantastic , so we gave good feedback . When I was giving my feedback I felt like I should frequent this restaurant more . Hence I am experiencing the Ultimate Moment of truth ( UMOT ) here .
