1) The quote "The problem is not the problem . The problem, is your attitude about the problem . " means :

In this quote by the word ' problem ' , what we actually mean is the customers . Hence the word ' problem ' is being used metaphorically to mean customers . Moving forward let us see the meaning of this quote in customer service . When a customer seems 'high value' or 'high maintenance' we shouldn't get angered by them , instead we should offer them our individual care and support so that the customer feels special and decides to frequently purchase the products they need from a company . Hence the quote can be metaphorically used to say that the problem isn't the customers but our attitude towards the customers .

2) " Oh yes , the past can hurt . But the way I see it , you can either run from it or learn from it . " means :

In this quote by the word past we mean the loss a company or firm has gone through . Let us see the meaning of the entire quote in the context of customer service . By this quote what we actually mean is that even if a company or a firm has suffered a loss it shouldn't repent over its mistake . Instead it should try improving or revamping its existing products so that it's customers would remain loyal to it and it will attract the eyes of more such customers . For example Apple lost some of it's market share to Google during 2006 , when the Google's android was liked and preferred more by the customers . But instead of losing hope it cam back with iPhone 6 which helped it regain some of its market share it lost to Google . Hence the quote in customer service will mean that instead of repenting a mistake that lead to loss , we should try to learn from it and come up with a better solution , which is nothing but a new product or a revamped version of an old product .
