The outer epidermal cells and also the epidermal cells present on the side of something ex leaves have thick cell walls but the epidermal cells in the inner portion have thin cell walls

epidermis is the outer layer of plants which protect plants from external injuries and water lose. because it is waxy and water resistant so it protects plants from high lose of water in summer. and because it is very thick so it protects plants from external injuries. so the outer epidermis layer of plants is thick then inner layer.
