BE THE FIRST TO BE BRAINLIEST PLZ DONT COPY FROM THE INTERNET
in one page its written that when the substance reaches at melting or boiling point energy is sufficient to overcome the force of attraction but on another page its wriiten that heat energy is used to overcome the force of attraction so if kinetic energy is sufficient then why is it absorbing latent heat to overcome

SO IS HEAT ENERGY OR KINETIC ENERGY IS USED TO OVERCOME THE FORCE OF ATTRACTION ?????
PLZ HELP ME FRIENDS

Increase in the heat energy leads to an increase in the kinetic energy of a substance, which help any substance to overcome its forces of attraction....

aniket271003: it does, it increases the movement speed of the molecules....
Devipvu2004: Then how kinetic energy is sufficient
aniket271003: in what????
Devipvu2004: No when it reaches melting or boiling point
Devipvu2004: The heat energy does not increase the kinetic energy of particles
Devipvu2004: As a result temperature remains same
aniket271003: when we heat any object the speed of movement of its particles get faster...
aniket271003: the temperature remains the same during the change of state and not during the increase in kinetic eneegy....
Devipvu2004: Ya i know dear
