Because of spoilage, a restaurant had to throw out 10 kg of food, 20% of a sack of potatoes and 40%
of a bag of tomatoes. Later, they had to throw out 11 kg of food, 30% of a sack of potatoes and 20%
of a bag of tomatoes. What is the mass of a sack of potatoes and a bag of tomatoes?

Let,
p = mass of sack of potatoes
t = mass of bag of tomatoes
First,
p/5 + 2t/5 = 10 kg
p + 2t = 50 kg...................(1)
Second,
3p/10 + 2t/10 = 11 kg
3p + 2t = 110 kg................(2)
Solving both (1) & (2) by (2)-(1) we get,
p = 30 kg
t = 10 kg
p = mass of sack of potatoes
t = mass of bag of tomatoes
First,
p/5 + 2t/5 = 10 kg
p + 2t = 50 kg...................(1)
Second,
3p/10 + 2t/10 = 11 kg
3p + 2t = 110 kg................(2)
Solving both (1) & (2) by (2)-(1) we get,
p = 30 kg
t = 10 kg
