Because of the conventional process conventional rainfall occur in afternoon in equatorial region but why doesn't it rain afternoon in the oceanic areas of equatorial belts

Why doesn't it rain in the afternoon in the oceanic areas of the Equatorial Belt? During the day, the sun heats the surface of the earth. That warms up the air above it and, warmer air, being less dense, rises then, cools down by the adiabatic effect of a lesser pressure aloft.
