Step-by-step explanation:

Given :-

a) n²+3

b) 2n²

To find :-

For each sequence ,find the first 4 terms and 10th term ?

Solution :-

a)

Given general term = n²+3

Let an = n²+3 -----(1)

Put n = 1 in (1) then

a1 = (1)²+3

=> a1 = 1+3

=> a1 = 4

First term = 4

Put n = 2 in (1) then

a2 = (2)²+3

=> a2 = 4+3

=> a2 = 7

Second term = 7

Put n = 3 in (1) then

a1 = (3)²+3

=> a3= 9+3

=> a3= 12

Third term = 12

Put n = 4 in (1) then

a4 = (4)²+3

=> a4 = 16+3

=> a4= 19

Fourth term = 19

put n = 10 in (1) then

a10 = (10)²+3

=> a10 = 100+3

=> a10 = 103

10th term of the sequence = 103

b)

Given general term = 2n²

Let an = 2n² -----(1)

Put n = 1 in (1) then

a1 =2 (1)²

=> a1 = 2(1)

=> a1 = 2

First term = 2

Put n = 2 in (1) then

a2 =2 (2)²

=> a2 = 2(4)

=> a2 = 8

Second term = 2

Put n = 3 in (1) then

a3 =2 (3)²

=> a3 = 2(9)

=> a3 = 18

Third term = 18

Put n = 4 in (1) then

a4 =2 (4)²

=> a4 = 2(16)

=> a4 = 32

Fourth term = 32

put n = 10 in (1) then

a10 =2 (10)²

=> a10 = 2(100)

=> a10 = 200

10th term of the sequence = 200

Answer:-

a) The first four terms of n²+3 are 4,7,12,19

The 10th term of n²+3 is 103

b) The first four terms of 2n² are 2,8,18,32

The 10th term of 2n² is 200
