Answer:
Let number of bees be x
So root (x/2) flew out.
Also 8x/9 Also flew out.
So Remaining = x-(root(x/2) + 8x/9)
= x/9 - root(x/2) = 2 (Given)
So let x = 2.y^2.
So new eqn :
(2.y^2)/9 - y = 2
So 2y^2 - 9y - 18 =0
On factorising :
(2y+3)(y-6) = 0
So y = 6 since y is whole positive number.
So x = 2.(6^2) = 72 bees
So there are 72 bees in the swarm.
