Hey friend,

Ploghing is done before sowning of seeds because soil is the medium in which plants grow. Sometimes we add manure and fertilisers before ploughing so that the manure and fertilisers get mixed with soil properly. Plouging makes the soil loosen. Loose soil has more air spaces which allow the roots of plant to breath easily also the due to loose soil the roots penetrate deep into the soil, this fixes the plant firmly to the soil. Ploughing also uproots unwanted weeds. Loose soil helps in growth of earthworms & microbes. These microbes and earthworms add humus and makes it more fertile. So ploughing is very important before sowning of seeds.
