before studying oscillations and waves, which chapters are required to study in physics of class 11 to understand the concepts of last 2 chapters of physics​

Hello Student,

My advice to you will be to read the following chapters of physics before starting waves/SHM, as these are the pre-requisites:

• Units and Dimensions

• Calculus (integration and differentiation methods.)

• 1 Dimension motion (i.e. motion in a straight line)

• Circular motion (as it has relevance in SHM)

As a matter of fact, you need to read all the previous chapters because many types of questions can be set from SHM/waves which will involve the concepts from previous chapters.

Some of the important formulas for SHM:

Considering the SHM in x axis:

$1) \: x = a \sin( \omega t)$

$2) \: v = a \omega \cos( \omega t) = \omega \sqrt{ {a}^{2} - {x}^{2} }$

$3) \: acc. = - a {\omega}^{2} \sin( \omega t) = - { \omega}^{2} x$
