I'd finished my chores and soon
Was called to play the game of carrom
By Mrs Gupta Ji or simply Madam.
"Just like in our lives, in the gar too

But as I was clueless about the game
I sat there, motionless, very lame!
Then Madam said, "O! You're such a fool!
So let me first tell you each and every rule!
So I said, 'I am ready Madam
To play the game of carrom!
But please, please, for once, 1 lt'.

The game is simple to understand,
You can play it with either hand
You have the striker to hit the discs
Though sometimes, there may be risks!
At times, you may hit it too hard
And send the disc flying off like a sharda
Yet if you release it too slowly
You will miss the target surely!
Now Madam sighed and made a face
She said, "That's what you ned to win the race
To make your journey smootlnd straight
And the rest, just leave to you Fate!'

But Madam', I queried suddenly,
'Wouldn't it be just heavenly,
If we simply picked up the queen from the boart
