it can be said that Behrman had a dream of making a masterpiece before his death came true , because he didn't know about Johnsy's will and even though went there and later that night he climbed the wall and made a masterpiece of the last leaf on the ivy creeper. due to which he later died of pneumonia as it was a cold night raining ice....
