Being Black is kind of being different,
I am not like others,
I am treated as if I am from the other world.
I see no sympathy,
I am disliked by people all around,
They are the whites .
But they forget that I also feel like them,
My tears also fall when I get hurt,
Yes I am different.
The poem speaks of the colour difference among the people of different countries This reminds us of a
treatment meted out to a famous personality of India. One incident changes his life and the life of millions of
Indians .Narrate the incident and identify in whose life this incident took place.

A white man had objected to Gandhi travelling in the first class coach in spite of the latter possessing a valid ticket. When Gandhi refused to move to the rear end of the train, he was thrown out. He had stayed at the station that night shivering in cold and the bitter incident had played a major role in Gandhi’s decision to stay on in South Africa and fight the racial discrimination being faced by Indians there
