Being non metal . why graphite conducts electricity​

1 graphite atom is attaches with other 3 atoms

Carbon can have a bond with 4 other carbon atoms

So it has a free ion and forms a 2d structure

Free ions conduct electricity

Graphite have weak Van der Walls force ,

ATOMS ARE JOINED BY WEAK FORCE

AND CONDUCTS ELECTRICITY
