By elections only we can choose the party which can work for the welfare of the country as well as for people.
By elections we can elect the party which can bring some new schemes for the welfare of poor peaple .

Advantages of election are as follows:
People get to change representative after shorter time interval.
It provides a forum for citizen to express their desire for a candidate
A winner is easy to determine, who ever gets the most votes, period. The percentage or how they are distributed does not matter.

Disadvantages of election are as follows:
There is non-trivial expense involved in holding elections
Elections can be a basis for hard-feelings among supporters of different candidates .
There is also an apparent problem of taking populist measures before elections even though such actions eventually hurt the economy or social structure of the country ( India ).
