Bengal
Bengal was an important centre for trade. As
it was far off from Delhi, the governors of
Bengal revolted frequently. In the fourteenth
and fifteenth centuries, the Ilyas Shahi and
the Husain Shahi sultans ruled Bengal. In the
sixteenth century, the Mughals annexed the
kingdom of Bengal
