because benzene is Aromatic..
and aromatic compounds are exepttionally Highly Stable..
it follows Huckle's rule of Aromaticity i.e.(4n+2)pie electrons=6in benzene

Benzene is so much stable because ...it is a cyclic aromatic compound ...thus non reactive and it has very stable resonating structures or canonical structures due to which it has stable conjugation thus due to all this its a stable cyclic compound...
