Benzene, formaldehyde and ethylene glycol, found in many household products like paint, disinfectants, moth repellents and air fresheners, are emitted as gases and are known to have adverse short or long term health effects ranging from eye, nose and throat irritation to damage of internal organs. What are these compounds classified as?

These are general organic compounds.
Benzene is aromatic compound.
Formaldehyde is an aldehyde.
Ethylene glycol is an alcohol having two OH groups.
