The particles of benzene vapours are more energetic than liquid benzene particles, because in  vapour particles electrons are in excited states and in liquid phase the electrons are in ground state

Generally those particles will have more energy whose electrons are in excited states therefore Benzene  vapours are more energetic  than liquid benzene
