The British Surrender at Yorktown. America declared its independence in 1776, but it took another five years to win freedom from the British. That day came on October 19, 1781, when the British General Charles Cornwallis surrendered his troops in Yorktown, Virginia.

Explanation:
The Berads’ were renown fighters who used the forests and hills under the leadership of chiefs along clan lines. The Beran, since the beginning of 1820 then rallied against British oppression, which encouraged other communities to resist colonial rule in India.  Notably, resistance continued to occur up to 1860 where they surrendered to the British, despite being defeated severally. Among the reasons for its defeat was the lack of superior weapons such as guns and rifles, along with a lack of strong military skills. It then resulted in the development of the Criminal Tribes Act wherein 1871 the Berads were classified as being a 'criminal tribe'
