Bernardo is converting a fraction, a/b to a percent. Both a and b are whole numbers and not equal to zero. Which expression represents the percent?

Solution :

Multiply by 100 to convert fraction

to percent we get,

a/b = ( a/b ) × 100 %

[ Since , % = 1/100 ]

Any fraction bla bla if you need to convert into percentage :

Multiply the fraction by 100 %

a and  b are whole numbers..........

So a / b * 100 % is the percent

==> 100  a / b

The percentage is 100 a / b%

Just multiplying a fraction by 100 gives you percentage
