Bernoulli's theorem states that the total available energy per unit volume of a liquid flowing through a tube of area of cross section and height remains constant.

   OR

For a streamline flow, the sum of the pressure, the kinetic energy per unit volume and the potential energy per unit volume remains constant.

Limitations: It only accounts for non viscous fluids and not viscous fluids.

                   Here, the velocity of the fluid is considered as uniform, which is                     wrong because velocity of different layers are different
