Solution :-

Let us assume that, bertie won a lottery of $100x .

so,

→ spend on house = (4/5) * 100x = $ 80x .

now,

→ sum left = 100x - 80x = $20x .

then,

→ spend on luxury yacht = (3/4) * 20x = $ 15x .

now,

→ sum left = 20x - 15x = $ 5x .

again,

→ spend on trip = (2/3) * 5x = $(10x/3) .

then,

→ sum left = 5x - (10x/3) = $(5x/3)

A/q,

→ (5x/3) = 50000

→ 5x = 50000 * 3

→ x = 30000

→ 100x = $30,00,000 (Ans.)
