Beryllium has a higher Ionisation energy than boron because of increased stability due to half filled and fully filled orbitals. ... The electrons in the 2s orbital are already paired and hence it is quite a stable configuration for the beryllium atom.

Hello,

In Beryllium the electrons are present in 2s orbitals, the s electron is attracted more towards the nucleus than a P electron. Therefore, it is difficult to remove s electron, and ionisation enthalpy is higher.
