• Ducks are related to geese and swan but are shorter in size as they have smaller wings and necks.
• A duckling when hatched,  would follow the first animal it sees, regardless if it is a duck or not.
• As the case with most of the birds, ducks have three eyelids.
• You can tell the gender of the duck by looking at its tail feather. Most of the male duck breeds would have curly tail feathers, unlike the straight tail feathers of the female breeds.
• Not every duck quacks. Some squeak, whistle or remain quite.
