Answer:

We use must in three main ways:

1) to talk about something that has to be done because it’s obligatory or very important.

2) to express the view that something is highly likely or it’s the normal thing to expect because it’s a logical conclusion based on something else that the speaker knows.

3) to say to someone that you strongly recommend or advise something.

We use should in three main ways:

1) to talk about what we think is the right or correct thing to do, especially from the point of view of duty or appropriateness.

2) to give or ask for advice or suggestions.

3) to predict that something will probably happen or is expected

We use ought to in three main ways:

1) to express the view that something is the right thing to do, because it’s morally correct, polite, or someone’s duty.

2) to predict that something is fairly likely or expected, based on normal circumstances or logic.

3) to offer or ask for advice or recommendations.

Examples:

Must: If you go to India, you must see the Taj Mahal.

Should: You should see the new movie.

Ought To: You ought to admit that you made a big mistake.
