= The electoral functions of Union Parliament are as follows.
1) The elected members of the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha form one part of the Electoral Collage which elects the President in our country. The other part is constituted by the elected members of all the State Legislative Assemblies.
2) Both the houses of Parliament together elect the Vice-President of India. 3) The members of the Lok Sabha elect two of their members as the Speaker and Deputy Speaker.

The Parliament participates in the election of the President and the Vice-President. It also elects some of its members to various Committees of the Parliament. The Vice- President is elected by both the Houses of the Parliament. He is removable by a resolution of the Rajya Sabha agreed to by the Lok Sabha.
