Computer is an electronic device which is also used for personal use and can hold the capacity of saving a data which cannot even be thought by humans. The first computer resembling today's modern machines was the Analytical Engine, a device conceived and designed by British mathematician Charles Babbage between 1833 and 1871. Computer has been passed from five generations.

The very first generation computer or vaccum tubes was termed as ENIAC which stands for Electronic Numerical Integrator and Computer . The time period of these computers was from 1940 – 1956. John Mauchly and J. Presper Eckert built the machine at the University of Pennsylvania at the behest of the U.S. military. Then in 1956 came second generation computers were transistor computers which log lasted till 1964 . Shockley and Walter H. Brattain invented the transistor at Bell Telephone Laboratories in the mid-1940s. Then, in 1965 came Third generation computers termed Intergrated Circuits (ICs) and long lasted till 1971. The IC was invented by Jack Kilby.
