For English, NCERT is the best to prepare. Just read all the chapters and solve intext and exercise questions to clarify the chapters. Then you have to choose two books for practice-

• Practice chapter-wise questions from a good question bank (I found Educart question bank better than any other because it provides a lot of new types of questions like inference-based, along with well-explained solutions, even for MCQs) to practice more questions and to avoid mistakes.

• Solve Sample papers (Educart sample papers are based on the latest paper pattern and contain important NCERT questions+PYQs) as they are very important to check your progress, know your weak points and understand the latest paper pattern
