I have gone through a number of guides especially for social science . And I would prefer you two guides 1) Arihant publications 2) Xam Idea (social science ).
These two books cover almost all the basic as well as important questions .If you mug up or are thorough with these books you can surely do well in 10th .

but if u follow "Xam Idea (2017-18)" it will be more beneficial for u
but I suggest u to refer NCERT only, maximum questions will come in board exam from ncert.
