Answer:K extinguishers are for large grease and oil fires, usually in commercial or institutional kitchens. An extinguisher labeled for Class B or Class K is suitable for grease or oil fires.

if not available follow these steps

Cover the flames with a metal lid or cookie sheet. Leave the cover on until it has cooled.

Turn off the heat source.

If it’s small and manageable, pour baking soda or salt on it to smother the fire.

As a last resort, spray the fire with a Class B dry chemical fire extinguisher.

Do not try to extinguish the fire with water.

Do not attempt to move the pot or pan outside.

Answer:

For fires involving electrical equipment and inflammable materials like petrol, carbon dioxide (CO2) is the best extinguisher. CO2, being heavier than oxygen, covers the fire like a blanket. Since the contact between the fuel and oxygen is cut off, the fire is controlled.
