You cannot 'forget' someone in life, and I recommend not trying to either. The time you have spent with the person should be utilized, and instead of regretting it, you should be glad you had some experience.
Everyone makes mistakes, and has first times, so you should be glad that you have had your's, and now you are experienced and won't make the mistake.
However, you may move on from the incident which might have taken place in the past.
Think positive, cheer yourself up! If you think too negatively, or fret about someone or something, they may never leave your mind.
Indulge yourself in activities, go out and try something new, or something of your passion, it will help you distract yourself.
Find an aim you want to accomplish, and try your best to succeed, however, if you fail, remember, you always have second chances.
Try to make new friends, you may find people having the same problem as you, or perhaps a different one, but always lend a hand to them.
And finally, tell yourself you've been through it, it's over now, and you made it out successfully. Stay positive, and Good Luck!
