Just note down any atmost five points from each topic..
Revise the recapitulation or the glossary given at the end of the chapter or book...

Well isn't history too long sometimes although it's nothing like short cut to study but if u wanna learn and score marks in it u could probably just go through the topic and mark the important point I prefer to mark them and then I just read them after doing any other subjects cause then I ll probably focus on it more .
