We have to concider  clock as a circle !!

The hour hand starts at 0° and will goes \frac{1}{2} degree in every single minute of clock.

[ given in question ] ......(1)

The minute hand starts at 0° & will goes forward at 6° per minute.

[ Given in question ]........(2)

So.

We want to solve this question for the value of K

6k=\frac{1}{2}k+90........[ In 1st case ]

And

6k=\frac{1}{2} k+270......[ In 2nd case ]

so we get...

k=\frac{180}{111}

   = 16.36

And,

k=\frac{540}{11}

   

  = 49.09

⇒ The difference in minutes between these two instants is

32.72 Minutes
