Devavrata Bhishma was greater warrior than Arjuna. It is true that Arjuna had performed numerous deeds throughout his entire career but deeds of Bhishma are perhaps greater than that of Arjuna.
Feats of Devavrata Bhishma :
Bhishma defeated Lord Parashurama ( incarnation of Supreme God Vishnu. ) Bhishma is the ONLY WARRIOR WHO HAD DEFEATED PARASHURAMA.
According to KMG and BORI - the two most authentic versions of Mahabharata, after the battle PARASHURAMA HIMSELF ACCEPTED THAT BHISHMA HAD DEFEATED HIM.
