gas will expand more as the inter molecular space is very large and inter partocle attraction is very low.

its because in gas atoms are already spreaded out but liquid is still compressed and have larger capabilit to expand
it can also be understand by the conpect of density
gas have less density and liquid have more hence liquid have more atoms per unit sq area and hence will cover large area on expanding and hence expand more
