Given:   number line  and point 0.5

To Find: Between which two whole numbers on the number line does the number 0.5 lie

a ( 0 and 1 )

b ( 2 and 3 )

c ( 1 and 2)

d (-1 and 0)

Solution:

Numbers with a negative sign are less than zero

Right of zero represented by ‘+’ sign and to the left of zero represented by ‘–’ sign.

+ sign numbers can be denoted as simply numbers

On a number line the number increases as we move to the right and decreases as we move to the left.

0.5   is positive number hence on  the right of 0

and 0.5 is less than 1

Hence on the left of 1

so 0.5 lies between  0  and  1
