Battle of Plassey was fought between the nawab of Bengal, Siraj ud daula who was the last idependent ruler of Bengal and the British vice roy Robert clive. It was fought in Plassey, West Bengal in 1757.

This war led to the establishment of East India Company which is later known as British East India Company. It was the first colony made by British Empire which later caused the rule in India.

The main reason for the defeat of the Nawab was his military general was bribed by Robert Clive.
