Zinc is more reactive than hydrogen and it displaces hydrogen from diluteacids. Zinc reacts with dilute sulphuric acid to form zinc sulphate and hydrogen gas is evolved. This is a single displacement reaction of a non-metal by a metal.

Zn reacts with dilute sulphuric acid. Zn is present at the top than Ag is the electrochemical series.. And according to electochemical series of metal, metal which are present above hydrogen, Displaces the metal which are lowerin the series

Zn + h2so4 => znso4 + h2
Here zn replaced hydrogen as hydrogen lies below zinc
Ag lies below hydrogen so it cannot displace hydrogen in h2 so4
