Solution

Length of the floor = 6m = 600cm

Breadth of the floor= 7m = 700cm

Area of the room= (L * B) sq.units

= (600 * 700) sq. cm

Side of the square tiles = 50 cm

Area of square = side * side

= ( 50 * 50)sq.cm

No. of square tiles required = Area of floor / Area of square tiles

= 600*700/ 50*50

= 420,000/ 2,500

= 96

Hence, 96 square tiles will required to cover the floor.
