The Programme of Cultural Cooperation for 2015-18 seeks to enhance the level of cooperation in a wide variety of fields such as performing arts, visual arts, libraries, museums, archives & cultural documentation, archaeology, handicrafts, publications and professional exchanges.

MoU on the Establishment of Nalanda University

The MoU would enable Sri Lanka to participate in the Nalanda University Project.

Work-Plan 2014-2015 under the MoU on Cooperation in the field of Agriculture between India and Sri Lanka.

The Work Plan would facilitate bilateral cooperation in Agro Processing, Agricultural extension, horticulture, agricultural machinery, training in farm mechanization, livestock diseases, etc. between relevant institutes and organizations from both countries.

प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी के दो दिवसीय यात्रा के पहले दिन शुक्रवार को भारत और श्रीलंका के बीच चार समझौतों पर हस्ताक्षर हुए।

1.भारत और श्रीलंका ने सीमा शुल्क सहयोग सहित चार समझौतों पर शुक्रवार को हस्ताक्षर किए। प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने दोनों ही देशों के नागरिकों की आजीविका और मानवीय मुद्दों को ध्यान में रखते हुए मछुआरों की जटिल समस्या के दीर्घकालिक समाधान तलाशने की जरूरत पर बल दिया। 

2.श्रीलंका के राष्ट्रपति मैत्रीपाला सिरिसेना के साथ बातचीत के बाद राजनयिक पासपोर्ट धारकों को वीजा से मुक्ति दिए जाने, सीमा शुल्क पर पारस्परिक मदद से सहयोग, युवाओं के विकास के लिए सहमति पत्र तथा श्रीलंका की एक यूनिवर्सिटी में रवीन्द्रनाथ टैगोर के संग्रहालय की स्थापना के लिए समझौतों पर हस्ताक्षर किए गए।

इस मुलाकात के बाद जारी बयान में मोदी ने कहा, "यह बेहद जरूरी है कि भारतीय और श्रीलंका के मछुआरों के संघ जल्द से जल्द बातचीत करें और इस संबंध मे कोई ऎसा समझौता पेश करें जो दोनों ही पक्षों को मान्य हो। जिसे दोनों देशों की सरकारों द्वारा आगे बढाया जा सके।"

4.मोदी ने कहा कि श्रीलंका के अल्पसंख्यक तमिलों सहित समाज के सभी वर्गों की आकांक्षाओं और विकास के लिए तथा न्याय, शांति और संयुक्त श्रीलंका के लिए आपके सभी प्रयासों में हम आपके साथ खडे हैं।

प्रधानमंत्री ने कहा कि भारत को पूरी उम्मीद है कि 13वें संविधान संशोधन को जल्द से जल्द और पूरी तरह से लागू किया जाएगा। यह संशोधन इससे भी आगे इस द्वीपीय राष्ट्र में शांति प्रक्रिया में योगदान देगा।
