Given :- Bharat lent a sum of Rs.5500 to Aman at rate of 5% per annum at simple interest. Aman paid Bharat Rs.6325 in return . How long did aman keep Bharat money ?

Solution :-

Case 1):- when rate is at simple interest .

  • Principal = Rs.5500
  • Rate = 5% per annum.
  • Time = Let T years.
  • Amount = Rs.6325 .

→ Simple interest = (Principal * rate * time) / 100

→ SI = (5500 * 5 * T)/100

→ SI = 275T

then,

→ Amount = P + SI

→ 6325 = 5500 + 275T

→ 275T = 6325 - 5500

→ 275T = 825

→ T = 3 years. (Ans.)
